Geleen – DSM slope-cladding

We have placed these gabions for the DSM-project in Geleen for BAM Infra Region South-East. This project involved a slope-cladding, whereby the slope leans backwards to quite some extent.

Construction
We first prepared the design drawings. We then applied approximately 170m2 of cladding, with a thickness of 500 mm. A mesh width of 50×50 mm is used on the face sides, 100×100 mm on the non-visible sides.

Filling
We subsequently applied the stone filling to the gabions. The stone used is a limestone, 60/120 mm. We also used geotextiles on the soil retaining side of the construction.
