Raalte – Salland Port
We were allowed the placement of gabions in two phases for the project Salland Port in Raalte. This involved both walls and soil retaining walls.
Phase 1 Construction
Executed for Timmerhuis Weg- en Waterbouw b.v. We first prepared the design drawings. 18m1 soil retaining gabion wall with a diameter of 500×600 mm. 68m1 detached gabion wall of 500×600 mm and 300×600 mm. The mesh width for all of these walls is 50×100 mm.
Phase 1 Filling
The filling was applied mechanically. It was then set manually on all horizontal and vertical face sides of the gabions. The stone used is a Grauwacke split, 80/150 mm.
Phase 2 Construction
Executed for REKO Grondverzet- & Wegenbouwbedrijf. As in the preceding phase, we also prepared the design drawings for phase 2, after which we applied 286m1 of soil retaining wall, 975×750 mm. In addition, we made 286m1 of soil retaining wall in 525×750 mm. A mesh width of 75×75 mm is used on the face sides.
Phase 2 Filling
The stone filling was then stacked by hand on the face sides. The stone used is a Grauwacke split, 90/150 mm.
